This Salice Series 200 concealed hinge hangs half overlay doors on face-frame and frameless cabinets, with a self-close spring and a dowel-mount cup that seats without cup screws.
Half overlay is the right call whenever two doors share one center partition or stile. Each door covers its half of the shared edge, and the half crank arm provides the geometry that keeps the two arms from colliding when both doors are open. It also fits single-door cabinets where a partial overlay is the specified look. The 35mm cup bores into the back of the door, and the dowel-mount design presses the cup into pre-bored dowel holes, which removes the cup-screw step from a production run. The arm then connects to a Salice base plate on the cabinet, ordered separately as a matched Salice plate.
The hinge body is plated steel. The nickel finish holds up through the handling a busy install involves and coordinates with nickel drawer slides and pulls across a run of cabinets. Side adjustment of plus 4.5mm and minus 1.5mm, combined with plus or minus 2mm of height adjustment, lets an installer true up a pair of doors on the same partition without removing the door. Self-close uses a spring to pull the door shut over the last few degrees. Soft-close uses a damper to slow the door so it does not contact the frame hard. This hinge is self-close: it draws the door shut but does not cushion the final contact.
The dowel-mount cup requires pre-bored dowel holes in the door in addition to the 35mm cup bore. It is common in CNC production workflows. If your doors are not set up for dowel boring, a screw-on cup version of this series is the alternative to check.
