Salice Excentra S face frame hinge is a concealed cabinet hinge designed for 5/8 inch overlay face-frame applications, so doors cover the frame correctly while staying hidden from view. This hinge provides a 106 degree opening angle, giving doors a wide, functional swing range that supports comfortable cabinet access in everyday use. The hinge is part of the Salice Series S line, so it is built around a 2-cam adjustable mechanism that lets installers dial in precise door alignment after mounting. All hinges in this line are self-closing, so the spring action pulls doors shut at the end of travel, helping doors reach a consistent closed position. The CSR3599 model uses a dowel mounting style, matching shop workflows that rely on pre-drilled cup holes and dowel insertion.
This Salice concealed cabinet hinge is designed as a face-frame hinge, so it works with cabinets built with a front frame rather than frameless sides. The hinge is specified for 5/8 inch overlay applications, meaning the door is sized to overlap the frame by that amount so reveals stay consistent. The dowel-style cup simplifies positioning in 35 mm bores, because once holes and edge distance follow the 2.5 mm cup edge drilling distance, the hinge sits accurately on the door. Combined with the 2-cam depth and lateral adjustments plus the slotted height adjustment, this setup gives installers multiple ways to correct minor drilling tolerances and achieve even gaps.
This Salice Excentra S face frame hinge fits cabinet doors designed for overlays of 1/2 inch and greater, so it aligns well with many kitchen or bath face-frame layouts that rely on overlapping doors. The hinge is designed to work with cabinet doors up to 3/4 inch thick, which covers a common range of door thicknesses used in residential and commercial cabinetry. Because the cup depth is only 11 mm, it suits many door constructions without requiring deeper boring, which can help when working with thinner panels or routed profiles near the cup area. Excentra hinges with overlays of 1/2 inch and greater provide zero door protrusion, so when doors open, they do not extend into the cabinet opening plane, helping clearance when drawers or roll-outs are placed inside the cabinet.
The 2-cam adjustable hinge mechanism is central to how this Salice CSR3599 hinge supports precise alignment during installation. Cam depth adjustment from plus 2.8 mm to minus 0.5 mm changes how far the door sits from the cabinet face, which is useful when face frames are not perfectly flush or when doors need slight in-or-out tuning to align across a run. Cam lateral adjustment from plus 3.0 mm to minus 2 mm shifts the door side-to-side after the hinge is fixed, so fine adjustments can correct tight or wide gaps without resetting the drilling pattern. The slotted screw hole height adjustment of plus or minus 2 mm lets installers nudge doors up or down to line up rail joints or match adjacent fronts. All hinges are self-closing design, so once alignment is set, the built-in closing action pulls doors to a consistent resting point, supporting uniform reveals from door to door. The hinge is designed to work with Salice Type U soft-close devices, so damping components can be paired with this hinge line when a soft-closing motion is desired in the overall cabinet system.
The Salice CSR3599 hinge is specified as a 5/8 inch overlay face-frame hinge, so it is suited to doors sized to overlap the cabinet face frame by 5/8 inch.
The hinge provides a 106 degree opening angle, which offers a wide door swing to improve cabinet access while using a concealed face-frame hinge format.
The hinge is designed to work with cabinet doors up to 3/4 inch thick, covering many standard door constructions used in face-frame cabinetry.
The Excentra 2-cam hinge offers cam depth adjustment, cam lateral adjustment, and slotted screw hole height adjustment, supporting precise control of in-out, side-to-side, and vertical door position.
The 11 mm cup depth means the bore does not need to be very deep, which suits many door styles and helps when working with thinner doors or detailed profiles.
The Excentra face frame hinges are designed to work with Salice Type U soft-close devices, so damping components can be integrated into projects using this hinge line.
The Salice CSR3599 concealed cabinet hinge combines a 5/8 inch overlay face-frame design, 106 degree opening angle, and 2-cam adjustment system, so it supports precise alignment and reliable motion in cabinet runs. The all steel one piece construction with nickel plating resists corrosion and carries a lifetime warranty, providing long-term performance value for shop-built or onsite projects. For cabinet work calling for self-closing concealed face-frame hinges with detailed adjustment and compatibility with Salice Type U soft-close devices, this hinge offers a specification-driven option ready for production or retrofit jobs.
