This is the right-hand cabinet member of Knape & Vogt's 1805 series epoxy-coated Euro slide — a 16 inch, white, self-closing, 3/4-extension roller slide component sold individually by hand for production and replacement work.
This right-hand cabinet member installs on the right side of the cabinet interior. To run a single drawer you also need a left-hand cabinet member and both the left- and right-hand drawer members from the same 1805 series — two right-hand cabinet members will not make a working set. Members from other series or other brands do not interchange with 1805 components, so keep the series consistent across the drawer. The Q-Pack format suits shops outfitting multiple drawers at once; confirm the piece count against your run before ordering.
The white epoxy powder-coat is the finish detail that makes this member the right choice over the almond or zinc options in the same series. White melamine and white-painted interiors are the dominant substrate in residential kitchen and bathroom production, and a matching white slide profile stays invisible once the drawer is closed. The epoxy coating is a baked-on finish over steel — it is a color and surface choice, not a structural upgrade — but for interiors where appearance carries through to open drawers, the finish match matters.
Production cabinet shops running white-interior kitchens, vanities, and closet systems are the primary users for this member. The 16 inch (400mm nominal) length suits shallower drawers — spice pull-outs, narrow vanity drawers, and upper-cabinet tray inserts are typical applications at this length. Refacing contractors replacing damaged members in existing white-cabinet installations are the other natural fit: a single right-hand replacement ships without forcing a full-set order. This is an indoor, standard-duty slide; it is not rated for heavy loads or specialty environments.
No. This is the right-hand cabinet member only. A working drawer requires this piece plus a left-hand cabinet member and both drawer members — all from the 1805 series.
The 1805 series closes on a mechanical ramp — push the drawer into the capture zone and the ramp pulls it fully shut. That is self-close. Soft-close uses a damper to slow the drawer to a silent landing. The 1805 is self-close only; the close is positive, not damped.
This is a 3/4-extension member, so the back few inches of the drawer stay inside the cabinet at full open. It does not bring the full drawer out to the cabinet face.
Build the drawer box 1 inch narrower than the inside cabinet opening — 1/2 inch of clearance per side for the slide profile. Knape & Vogt also recommends a maximum drawer width of 18 inches for this series.
No. The 1805 cabinet member is designed to work with 1805 drawer members. Components from other series or other brands will not pair correctly.
When the cabinet interior is white and you need to order members by hand in production quantities, this right-hand 1805 cabinet member covers the job — match it with its left-hand mate and both drawer members to outfit each drawer.
