The 1805 series closes on a mechanical ramp — push the drawer into the capture zone and the ramp pulls it fully shut. That is self-close. Soft-close uses a damper to slow the drawer to a silent landing. The 1805 is self-close only; the close is positive, not damped.
This is a 3/4-extension member, so the back few inches of the drawer stay inside the cabinet at full open. It does not bring the full drawer out to the cabinet face.
Build the drawer box 1 inch narrower than the inside cabinet opening — 1/2 inch of clearance per side for the slide profile. Knape & Vogt also recommends a maximum drawer width of 18 inches for this series.
